Women Have an Obligation to Women
I haven't blogged in a while because I have been extremely busy and have had to refocus and readjust some of my concentration and what I have been engaged in. However, I have found myself growing and branching out into territories and unfamiliar areas and I question myself by simply asking "why?". The simple answer is - WHY NOT?!?!
One of my most recent areas of concentration and concern is the state of women. Through my travels, I have met women from all backgrounds and all locations. I have become great friends with some and developed amazing partnerships with others. In conversations with many of them, I have learned that many women are dealing with deep hurt. They hurt due to failed relationships. They hurt because they seem to be missing something from their lives. They hurt because they feel a deep sense of betrayal. They even hurt because they have been wronged by other women.
Women hurting women has got to cease! We have got to support each other to the point where we can depend on each other whenever needed. We have got to uplift each other when we see that there is a need to do just that. We have got to pray for each other because when we pray for others, God rewards us for our sacrifice.
I have always been an encourager of all people. I have always cheered on individuals that were chasing their dreams. And I will always be a woman that wants all women to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. I want all women to fully to support each other. I want all women to know that they are not the only one's dealing with circumstances but that their current circumstance does not have to define their end result. It is my hope that the support that women show each other will not only assist them in overcoming their current circumstance, but also catapult them to their next level of success.
Women supporting women is a movement. Will you join me?

Keep Pushing
I've noticed that as I become older, I have very little tolerance for foolishness and sub-par performance. My goal is to have a happy personal life and a successful professional life. I continuously seek opportunities to be a better person and I am learning to balance my personal and professional life. I find it extremely rewarding to have met the people that I have met that continue to take a sincere interest in helping me to reach my full potential.
I am the first to admit that it's difficult and sometimes stressful when juggling the things that I juggle. Sometimes I over commit myself and sometimes I find myself functioning on 3 hours of sleep. Sometimes I load up on coffee to keep me going and sometimes I crash from mere exhaustion. But I work as hard as I do because I know no other way to accomplish my long-term goals. It has been ingrained in me that 'if you get tired, you get left behind'.
The taste of success is what I crave! My taste buds anxiously await it. So as I dig deeper to get to where I need to be, know that satisfying I my taste for greatness is what I am after. Know that I grind hard because I know that there are those that are coming behind me that are looking at how I am able to do it because they too have the same drive to taste the success that is out there for anyone that wants it.
Throughout my life, I have watched successful women make it happen. I too want to be one of those women. Please join me in celebrating the successes of women and the accomplishments that they have made. Know that much was sacrificed in hopes of making it happen. Women do it well. From multi-tasking, to raising a family, to owning and managing a businesses, to reaching CEO status, it's something about women that makes them keep pushing and keep pursuing in an effort to experience success. I do it because 'NO' is not an option.

Will the REAL Men Please Stand UP?!?!?!?
I'm NOT beating up the men today but I'm very real when I say that men need to "man up"! Too many women are being forced to be the man and the woman in the household and there's something definitely wrong with that!
Why must you be in your 40s and a woman has to teach you how to be a man? Why must a woman have to tell you that you should work when you already know that you want to eat? Why must a woman tell you anything about manly "stuff" when you should already know those things?
So many men say that women want to be the man and the woman in a relationship. Well, women would love to hand over the manly duties if the man would kindly take them over. Women only hold on to both responsibilities when the man fails to hold up his end. Trust me, women would love to relinquish certain things if they know that there is a man who's "got that".
The men of yesterday do not exist today. Just like we must raise our girls to be women, we've got to raise our boys to be men. If you're not raising your boys to be men, you are doing them a disservice.
Come on guys, you can do so much better than what you are doing. This world is depending on you.

Unhappy Does NOT Live Here
Some people are unhappy and they possess an energy that is unhealthy and can be contagious. They always have negative thoughts and never seem to have anything positive or uplifting to deposit into our lives. Their unhappiness is what makes them who they are and I personally do NOT have time for that.
My joy is knowing that I have friends and family members that are happy and uplift me when I feel a bit weary. My joy is knowing who I am, and I am more than thrilled about my life and where it has taken me. I can speak all day about the awards and accolades that I have received but when I speak about happiness and joy, I speak about my personal growth and development. I speak about raising children who have all made me a happy mother. I speak about the people who think highly of me because of the person that they know me to be. I speak of the individuals that I come in contact with on a daily basis who genuinely appreciate me for being the caring person that I am.
My happiness is because I refuse to be unhappy. I refuse to allow anyone to have control over my sanity. I refuse to engage in conversation that is not fitting to what I want in my life. I do not want folk in my presence who never have a kind word to say . . . I always want to be in the presence of folk who can always deposit something positive in my life.
I encourage you to surround yourself with folk who are motivators and encourage you to be a better you. I'm allergic to foolishness and you should be too!
